Recently, I was thinking about how I haven’t attended a major event in ages thanks to COVID-19 and social distancing. I bet I’m not the only one who is longing for this whole pandemic to be over so I can finally attend an event! But why wait when you can plan ahead?! So today I decided to do something a bit different. I will be talking about three unique types of entertainers you could hire for an event. When corona is over, I will definitely be attending any event that has this kind of entertainment!

It goes without saying that hiring an entertainer for your event is one of the best ways to ensure its success, no matter what type, and whether it’s big or small. For a corporate event, it can strengthen the bond between team members, impress potential clients, reinforce brand values, and build up more interest, drawing a larger crowd. For a personal event, good entertainment is sure to keep guests happy while taking stress and pressure off the host.

So really, it’s not a question of whether to include entertainment for your event, but rather which type of entertainment to book. While live music may be the first kind that comes to mind, entertainment comes in a wide range of forms, from comedians and dancers to circus acts, impersonators, and just about everything in between. Search “entertainment near me” on Google, and you’re bound to get a long list of options.

I bet you haven’t thought about these three unique types of entertainers I’m about to list. Get ready to be intrigued!

1. Celebrity Impersonator

Hiring a celebrity impersonator for your event can make it especially memorable. Even if you can’t afford to hire the real thing, a talented impersonator is the next best thing and can be booked for just a fraction of the price. Some are so good they’ve become wealthy thanks to their facial features that look uncannily like the famous. I recently learned about Michaela Weeks (picture alongside Britney above), who reportedly has earned nearly a half-million dollars impersonating Britney Spears! While top impersonators like Weeks may come with a steep price tag, you’ll find many for hire at a more affordable cost, putting on a high-quality performance that gets the mannerisms as well as the hair, makeup, costumes, and even the talent just right.

Consider your audience and the type of event to choose the best celebrity impersonator from Cher, Madonna and Dolly Parton to Marilyn Monroe or even Santa Claus himself!

2. Contortionist

Hiring a contortionist is another unique option for mesmerising your audience. A contortionist is basically a person who twists their body into unnatural shapes. It is considered a performance art and it goes without saying that the contortion requires a great deal of flexibility. The unique movements and shapes formed make it a very entertaining art form to watch. And if you’ve ever watched “America’s Got Talent”, I bet you’ve seen a contortionist perform live – very interesting!

3. Dancer

Hiring a dancer is also a good choice for entertainment at an event. I’m not just talking about your regular dancers. I mean anything from tap dancers and ballet dancers to folk dancers and even figure skaters. Why not?! Having this kind of entertainment at your event is sure to take things up a notch. There is something about the rhythmic movement of dancers – especially those who you don’t see very often – that is just intriguing to watch. So if you haven’t considered these types of dancers before, I urge you to do so!
