Hi there! Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me.
A little about me…

My name is Rukevwe Otive-Igbuzor, but most people call me Rukky. I like to think that I wear many different hats: researcher, writer, editor, singer, YouTuber, development worker, and lawyer. If I’m feeling extra confident, I will also add budding graphic designer and video editor into the mix. Am I a Jack of all trades? Maybe. But I don’t think that’s necessarily a bad thing, as you will see here.
I graduated from University College London (UCL) in 2020, from the Nigerian Law School in 2022, and from the University of Gothenburg in 2024. So, yes, I like to study, and naturally, I am currently working as a researcher. My interests lie in research, legal and policy analysis, writing, and advocacy. Outside the academic world, I also enjoy creative writing, singing, and making videos.
You can connect with me on social media (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter) or via email.
About this blog…

I started this blog in 2013 with some random posts, but I eventually deleted them and made my blog private. In April 2020, the lockdown-induced boredom encouraged me to start blogging again (shout out to COVID-19). Now, I’m fully in this blogging game.
There are four main categories in this blog: Lifestyle, Music, Poetry, and Feminism. Under Lifestyle, I write about things I have learned from my experiences, or things I think will benefit others. The lifestyle category also contains series of blog posts I wrote about certain themes, including class inequality and conventional idioms.
Under Music, I share songs created by me and others, including the message behind the song lyrics. Under Poetry, I express my thoughts about various issues, ranging from creative writing to dealing with imposter syndrome. Under Feminism, I write about issues concerning women’s rights.
I hope you enjoy what you see! For questions about my blog, please contact me using this form. I am also open to feedback and requests for collaboration.
